Bhindi Masala (Okra) - Mirchi Desi Recipes

Bhindi Masala ( serves 2 people )
Okra - 300 g
Onion - 1 large
Garlic cloves - 3
Ginger- 2 inches long
Cumin - 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds- 1 tbsp
For the Masala paste:
Salt- 1 tbsp
Red Chilli powder- 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder- 1 tbsp
Cumin Powder - 1 tbsp
Mustard oil- 2 tbsp
Cut the stems of okra. Wash and strain.
Add 1 tbsp salt, 1 tbsp red chilly powder, 1 tbsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp cumin powder and 2 tbsp mustard oil in a bowl to make a paste.
Gently slit the okra. Add the paste.
Petal cut a large onion. Chop 3 garlic cloves. Chop 2 inches ginger and 3 green chillies.
Add 2 tbsp oil in a pan. Add 1 tbsp cumin. Add 1 tbsp mustard seeds. Add onions. Saute for 2 mins. Add ginger and garlic. Add green chillies. Saute for a minute. Add salt for taste. Add 1 tbsp red chilly powder. Add 1 tbsp turmeric powder. Add 1 tbsp coriander powder. Mix well. Add stuffed okra. Put the lid on and cook for 10 mins on medium flame.
Serve with Chapati.
