Daal Makhani - Mirchi Desi Recipes

Serves 2 people 

Ingredients Required: Click on the name to view the ingredient 

Black Gram: 1 Cup 

Kidney Beans: 3 tbsp 

Garlic :

Ginger: 2 inches 

Green chillies: 4 

Tomatoes: 2

The Recipe:

Wash and soak black grams and beans. Chop tomatoes. Make tomato paste. Chop onion, Chop ginger. Chop garlic. Chop green chillies. Pour in black grams and beans in a hot pan. Add 1 tbsp salt. Add chopped ginger and garlic. Let it boil on a medium flame.

Heat another pan. Add 1 tbsp butter. Add 2 dried red chillies. Add 1 tbsp cumin. Add chopped onion and saute. Add 1-1 tablespoon ginger and garlic. Add tomato paste. Add a pinch of hing. Add salt to taste. Add 1 tbsp red chilli powder. Add salt to taste. Add green chillies. 

Pour in the boiled grams and the beans. Put the lid on and cook for 20-25 mins on a low flame.



Serve with parantha or naan.
